Decentralized Control for Urban Drainage Systems Using Replicator Dynamics

This paper proposes a decentralized control scheme that mitigates floods in urban drainage systems (UDSs). First, we develop partitioning algorithm of the UDS relying on graph model system. Once this is done, design local controller for each partition based replicator dynamics (a set differential equations describes evolution population players involved strategic game). The nature proposed strategy makes it suitable applying large-scale systems. Stability closed-loop system proved by using Lyapunov theory. Furthermore, simulate performance two case studies. One them models part Bogotá (Colombia) stormwater UDS. Finally, compare technique with widely used methods for-real time UDSs, i.e., constrained linear quadratic regulator (LQR) and predictive (MPC).
